San Diego Botanic Garden Tour Guides are an enthusiastic group of docents who like to share their knowledge and excitement about plants with others. We prefer that you complete docent training before conducting tours, but welcome you to attend our tour guide meetings anytime and see if guiding tours is for you. We meet at 10 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month (except July) in the Larabee House. After a brief business meeting, we usually go out in the Gardens for an educational program. We are typically finished by 11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome!
Tour Guides conduct public tours every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. The tour on the last Saturday of the month focuses on water-wise plants. Many other tours for school children, seniors, and other groups are scheduled by contacting the administrative offices at SDBG.
