{"id":2938,"date":"2015-03-01T09:50:05","date_gmt":"2015-03-01T17:50:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdbgdocents.org\/?page_id=2938"},"modified":"2018-02-03T06:17:03","modified_gmt":"2018-02-03T14:17:03","slug":"docent-hours-recorder","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/sdbgdocents.org\/?page_id=2938","title":{"rendered":"Docent Hours Recorder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.printfriendly.com\/printfriendly.js\"><\/script><a class=\"printfriendly\" style=\"color: #6d9f00; text-decoration: none;\" title=\"Printer Friendly and PDF\" onclick=\"window.print(); return false;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.printfriendly.com\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.printfriendly.com\/pf-button.gif\" alt=\"Print Friendly and PDF\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Docent Hours Recorder<\/h1>\n<h2>General description:<\/h2>\n<p>The Docent Hours Recorder updates, maintains and communicates docent hours for the purposes of San Diego Botanic Garden reporting and docent milestone<br \/>\nincentive awards.<\/p>\n<h2>Duties:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Obtain reported docent hours from available sources.<\/li>\n<li>Record the hours in the designated recording document.<\/li>\n<li>Identify achievement of docent milestones.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare\/obtain appropriate awards for milestones achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly \u2018Docent and Volunteer Milestone and Upcoming Events\u2019 sheet and e-mail a copy to the Docent Chair and Volunteer Hours Recorder.<\/li>\n<li>Add newly qualified docents to hours recording document as notified by Docent Training Coordinator.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage docents to submit hours regularly \u2013 email reminders<\/li>\n<li>Attend monthly General Meeting<\/li>\n<li>At the end of term, prepare and email position materials to the newly designated Docent Hours Recorder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Specific Skills:-<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Solid working knowledge of standard computer applications including email, spreadsheets and word processing<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized and able to meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented<\/li>\n<li>Diplomacy and tact<\/li>\n<li>Should have attended DIT class and become a Docent<\/li>\n<li>Helps to know who docents are<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Time required:<\/h3>\n<p>10 to 15 hours a month<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h3>Recommended Term:<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>2 years minimum<\/p>\n<p>Updated January 2018<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Docent Hours Recorder General description: The Docent Hours Recorder updates, maintains and communicates docent hours for the purposes of San Diego Botanic Garden reporting and docent milestone incentive awards.
