{"id":279,"date":"2012-02-17T14:31:47","date_gmt":"2012-02-17T22:31:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sdbgdocents.org\/?page_id=279"},"modified":"2015-04-13T19:12:14","modified_gmt":"2015-04-14T02:12:14","slug":"vice-chairperson","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/sdbgdocents.org\/?page_id=279","title":{"rendered":"Docent Co Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.printfriendly.com\/printfriendly.js\"><\/script><a class=\"printfriendly\" style=\"color: #6d9f00; text-decoration: none;\" title=\"Printer Friendly and PDF\" onclick=\"window.print(); return false;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.printfriendly.com\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.printfriendly.com\/pf-button.gif\" alt=\"Print Friendly and PDF\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>DOCENT CO CHAIR\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Job Description<\/h1>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Docent Co Chair shall notify volunteers of the month about three months in advance that they have been chosen for this honor.<\/p>\n<p>The Docent Co Chair is responsible for working with the Docent Chair and the Docent Executive Board in overseeing operations of the SDBG Docent Society.<\/p>\n<p>Accomplishing this task requires the Docent Co Chair to be an organized individual, with the ability to quickly respond to questions\/issues via email and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the San Diego Botanic Garden organization.\u00a0 The Docent Co Chair should be familiar with the Operating Regulations of the San Diego Botanic Garden Docent Society and the SDBG By-laws.<\/p>\n<p>The unexpired term of the Chairperson will be filled by the Co Chair.<\/p>\n<p>The Docent Co Chair participates in the following regularly scheduled meetings:<\/p>\n<h2>MEETING DAY OF MONTH RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h2>\n<p>Docent Meeting(9:30 a.m.) 1st Wednesday<br \/>\nAttend the meeting; lead the meeting if the Chair is absent.<\/p>\n<p>Docent Exec. Board Meeting\u00a0 (10 a.m.-noon) 3rd Wednesday<br \/>\nAttend the meeting; lead the meeting if the Chair is absent.<\/p>\n<p>Trustee Meeting (6p.m.) 4th Monday<br \/>\nBe prepared \u2013 read reports sent by staff in advance of the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If the Docent Chair is unable to attend meetings or perform an activity, the Docent Vice-Chair will fill in.\u00a0 Please see the Docent Chair job description for a complete list of meetings and activities.<\/p>\n<p>Time required:<\/p>\n<p>Hours: 5+ Monthly<\/p>\n<p>Term: 2 years<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DOCENT CO CHAIR\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Job Description \u00a0 Docent Co Chair shall notify volunteers of the month about three months in advance that they have been chosen for this honor.
