Archives Recorder

General Description:

Assists Museum Curator and the History and Archives Specialist in organizing and maintaining archive documents and photographic collections and records.

Duties:

  1. Assist in document collection storage and organization.
  2. Assist in photographic collection storage and organization.
  3. Record information about new acquisitions in archive collection records.
  4. Record information in document collection records.
  5. Record information in photographic collection records.

Specific Skills:

 

  1. Organizational skills
  2. Research skills
  3. Interest in history
  4. Computer database skills
  5. Librarian training and experience (optional)
  6. Museum collection skills (optional)

Time Required:

10 hours/month. More when needs dictate.
