Collections Team Member

General Description:

Under the direction of the Curator of Plant Collections, Collections Team members weed and water specifically chosen rare plants destined for future installation in the Garden.

Duties:

  1. Meet with Collections Team members on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Work times on Collections is confined to this time.
  2. Follow the direction of the Curator of Collections.
  3. As instructed, weed and water a variety of potted plants, the majority of which are on the ground.
  4. Be prepared to work in any of three designated areas: Greenhouse 8, Bamboo Reference or Collections Area.

Specific Skills:

  1. Meticulous work when weeding
  2. Follow-thru
  3. Ability to work independently
  4. Repeated bending

Time Required:

3 hours / week
