Quail Tracks Coordinator
General Description:
The Quail Tracks Coordinator writes the Volunteer of the Month (VOM) summaries for each quarterly volume of Quail Tracks.
Duties:
- After receiving notification from the Docent Chair, the QT coordinator contacts the VOMs by phone or email. It is important to ask the VOM if they will accept the honor.
- Send an email to the VOM congratulating them on being nominated for the award. Then request the following biographical and volunteer information: education, work history, family, when they started volunteering at the gardens, what they do at the gardens, and what they like the best about Quail. Ask for the information in any format that they are comfortable with: composition, bulleted, notes.
- Write a short narrative of about 100 – 150 words. Be sure to include a final sentence thanking the individual for their contribution to the gardens. Try to vary this.
- Send your completed narratives to Diana Goforth. She will always have a deadline for you. Note that first quarter VOM summaries (January, February, and March) will have a deadline of about February 1.
